Oh.. I don't know. I'd read it 3 times, it was all I had with me.
I bought a new copy and I have a pin from a country that isn't on the map any longer.
Though Titograd is now in Montenegro

I looked it up and the city was renamed Podgorica, like it was named before it was changed under Tito. Interesting.
You know, maybe your pin is actually worth something now.
As to the "bad" trade. You're generous, so I'm not surprised you gave the book away.

Okay, so this is a phone picture from work today. I now get home at dark and I'm going to visit my dad this weekend so I wanted to post something just in case I run out of time.

Here's a beautiful (to me) truck that belongs to a friend of ours. It's been in his family for a very long time and we are getting it running again for him.

A weathered and worn, not to mention old and rusted, tractor.

Both nice examples of worn and weathered.

That's a beautiful truck indeed, Stina. And from 1947? Amazing. Well shot too. And I love the B&W.

Old jackets that I couldn't throw away.

Dark brown velvet with what we call 3/4 sleeves. I was 18. A long time ago...

And a leather pilot jacket. I loved it. And I loved the orange lining. I was about 28 or so and I bought it on the flee market in Amsterdam. It was one size too big but they didn't have a smaller size and I wore it for years. When the lining went to shreds I had every intention of putting a new one in, but I never did. The leather is still fine, the coat is a better fit now but the cloth really is terribly weathered and worn.

Hey, Levina! It would be worth it to have a new lining put in. That's a wonderful jacket and the leather looks soft and still supple.

Joayne, the leather is in great condition, like you say soft and supple. Maybe I should have a new lining put in.

So many nearby scenes qualify for this week's theme that I had a hard time choosing. Two from the backyard:

Old wood and stone, just sitting around.

Cracks in the concrete surface that we pretentiously call a patio. These accumulate in earthquake country.

Nice, OhLook.. Is that spiderweb or fishing line on the wood/rock image?
