So this P.C. just turns up in my living room. 3 years back the committee of my wife's charity (she's chairman) were all given new laptops. One chose a desktop, and now she's quit, it's been returned.
My current laptop is a HP with an AMD A6 quad core processor, 8 GB ram, 1TB HDD and a dedicated onboard Radeon R4 with 1GB dedicated VRAM. I run it to a 27" Acer K272HL. The returned PC is an Acer TC-105. AMD A10 6700 cpu, 6GB RAM, 1TB HDD, 2GB Radeon 7000 GPU & 24" Acer K242HL monitor (still a current model).
I use LR5 & Elements 14 for editing my wedding work. My HP's HDD has about 250GB free, but a lot more to be deleted. It's slowing down a bit because of it. If I bought the PC, would the GPU make it a lot faster than the HP, or would the HP's bigger RAM even things out? I fancy it, and it's probably worth £250.00 or more, though I'd get it cheaper. The downside is that everything is on my HP software wise, as is my image catalogue.
What are your thoughts.
