If you are in a hurry Best Buy has a 64 GB Sandisk Extreme (120 MB/s) on sale for $45, normally $150.

https://www.bestbuy.com ...d/2037002.p?skuId=2037002 (external link)

Adorama also has a Lexar (160 MB/s) on sale at $55. See https://www.adorama.com ...0V4myygk72NxoC61sQAvD_BwE (external link).

I just noticed you are from Australia so give https://www.camerasdirect.com.au/memory-cards (external link) a try. I see the same Lexar on the list at AU$99.

Those are the same Lexars that I use in my 5D4 and 1DX-II. Never a problem with write speed. If you get SD cards for the 5D3, don't pay for the Class II, they only read at class 1 speed

Although the concept of reading at class 1 speed may be true for the 5DIII, I totally disagree with the idea of "don't pay for the Class II". For one thing, I think it would be difficult to find class 1 SD cards in the marketplace. In addition good quality class 10 cards are available at very attractive prices. You can get a 64 GB Sandisk Extreme Pro for about $50.

I think UHS-I and II are being mixed up with SDHC/SDXC card speeds. Nearly all Canon cameras, if not all, still only use UHS-I cards. UHS-II cards have 2 rows of pins on the back of the SD card and there are reports that many Canon cameras actually suffer slower write speeds if UHS-II cards are used. I think some of the Sony cameras can now use UHS-II cards but UHS-I cards are still the most popular type of SD card out there on the market.

Bring 700 raw files into your computer through a card reader and watch the difference between class 1 and class 2.

If you are using a card reader to download, I agree. But WRITING TO THE CARD, the camera only sees class 1. Why the drama? Look at the specs! Downloading = class II. Writing to card in camera = class I.

Not sure if this helps, but check out the Rob Galbraith website for CF/SD card speeds and buffer size info.
