first is the 10 Dec 2017

second is the 11 Dec 2017 -- quite good today with 5 respectable prominences

Lunt LS60THa 12mm blocking filter and ZWO ASI 178CM imaging camera

Yes, very easily, actually a bit clearer than the images above.
I'm not sure if it my focussing on the Laptop screen or the camera that is reducing clarity ?

to see what prominences are visible when I get home from work and if there are some reasonable ones
and the sky is also clear, I will make the effort to get out the scope and other gear

there's a couple of nice ones there today, but unfortunately a lot of cloud in the western sky
so the gear stayed inside
