A little excitement at the track the other day. The horses were being led out for their warm up lap and this guy decides that he didn't want to be led. In fact, he decided that he was just going to take off....and he did. You can see the rider is doing pretty all he can to regain control, but the horse is having no part of it. He crashed into the back of the lead pony that he was supposed to be paired with, nearly knocked the lead rider off.....and off he goes. It took the lead rider about a quarter mile to run him down and push him into the rail to get him stopped. Some damn fine riding I'll say too.

Picture one the horse is starting to get wound up....and it just gets worse from there.
