As I’m Santa, I’ve been buying myself a Fuji kit for travel since Thanksgiving. Fiscally ok, as it was funded by selling a couple of 5Dx bodies and 2 Canon Ls that I didn’t use.

Post Xmas, I got myself a Sirui T025x, an Fuji-Arca base plate, January at my second home in China and February in Columbia.

A new 80D with 18-55 & 55-250 kit lens to replace my drowned 80D. Drowned it in a tropical storm flooded stream in Cost Rica during tropical storm Nate.

I worked Christmas all day while Santa visited everyone else.

So we did Christmas on the 26th.

The food was great.

And I learned just how excellent the little Flashpoint Zoom Minis are (TT350) and enjoyed using them off-camera through out the house.

Very best,

I have a feeling that the Three Wise Men are bringing me a new portable HDD. I've put a bit too much faith in my current external HDD and it's time to share the load a little.

Dell XPS 13 (and Logitec MX Anywhere 2S Mouse and Beats by Dr. Dre - Powerbeats³ Wireless to go with it).

FlashPoint Zoom Li-On TTL Flash for Canon and extra 3-pack li-on batteries to go with it.

Most importantly,

Homedic Shiatsu Neck and Shoulder Massager for some relief from all the holiday stresses...

.
$500 to use any way I want.

I could use it for gear, but I don't think so.

Instead, it could go a long way towards funding a springtime road trip to Oklahoma or southern Utah, in pursuit of Collared Lizards. . Have wanted to photograph these colorful lizards for some time now, and this $500 may be just what I need to be able to take a week or two off to go down there and find them.

Photo trips are almost always much more satisfying than gear purchases. . Sure, I could buy a better camera body ....... but then I wouldn't have collared lizard photos. . So then what good would the body be?

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "mute point", NOT "mute point".

And thats why I'll probably never own a Leica agin. I've got 3 weeks of every month, for the next 4 months, out of the country.

Santa was pretty generous (or at least Mrs. Claus, aka Wonderful Wife was) as a couple Godox tt685c's, an X1t trigger, and a Softbox for my Westcott TD5's were under the tree. Let some new learning and photo projects begin!

What's the purpose of a camera body? To take photos. I hope your trip is a success.

A $150 gift card to B&H. Will probably put it toward a lens.

A dji spark flymore combo. It’s pretty cool to take shots from up above.
