Did anyone else see the conjunction of Jupiter and Mars this morning? I got up at dawn and took this shot, can barely see Mars below Jupiter.
Best,
Steve

I noticed them approaching conjunction a few days ago, on the 3rd, and took a few shots with a 135mm lens. Only two moons were visible, the others were behind Jupiter. It was clear again early this morning, so I took some more shots. No moons were visible this morning in the shots I took. I checked on Stellarium, and found out that Io, Ganimede, and Callisto, were in a tight cluster just above the edge of Jupiter, and Europa was really close to the bottom edge... all too close to show up in the glare of Jupiter. The close grouping made Jupiter look lumpy. It would have been a pretty picture through a telescope, but it was too near dawn to set anything up. They move quite a bit in 5 days.
