On a cold, miserable day here in Dorset, I thought I would remind myself of sunnier, warmer days by looking at my hairstreak shots and decided to share this one, taken several years ago with a Nikon Coolpix 4500.

Thanks, Brian. This little chap was the first Green Hairstreak we had ever seen and he was very obliging, flying small circuits around his patch and then returning to the same perch. The Nikon Coolpix was also my first digital camera on its first proper outing, but I never use it now.

Me, too, Lester. I have lots of shots now, but, even so, I still cannot resist them.
