POTN G-series Speed Challenge #672 - Behind

We usually take photos from the front, whether the subject is a building, people, a stage performance or almost anything else. But "behind the scenes" shots are often more interesting, unusual or creative, so let's see what you can do (but please skip the cute shots of baby bottoms and rear ends of pets).

***************

RESULTS

Thanks for a fair number of entries this week and here are a few comments:

Maureen – Watching Stingrays: fits the subject perfectly – nice shot.

Stiga – Behind the Church: brings back memories of little churches I have known – I like it.

Corythosaurus - Tulip: looked at this a number of times and couldn't decide whether the slightly out of focus edges and muted colours were intentional or not, but for whatever reason it's an intriguing view.

Trumper – ex dog walk: I'm not sure what is behind what here but I sympathize with your loss.:-(

M_Six - Break time at the symposium: novel idea but I think this is more "after" than "behind".

CarloY – The Ghost in the Wall: I think you just squeaked in under the deadline with this but I can't quite figure out what is behind what in this rather indistinct image.

JimAskew - Don't Get Too Close, Boys: Good clean "behind" shot but my clock says it wasn't posted in time – sorry.

Winners:

1. Maureen's kid with the stingrays
2. Stiga's church
3. Cory's tulip.

So once more it's over to you, Maureen!

Well done Maureen.I really struggled to find a photo for this one so had to go into last years photos.Mine is a more behind the scenes of an ongoing upgrade to our local road ,the digging up of the countryside to allow it to happen.
Thanks Teekay :)

Thanks teekay for hosting and judging! And, congrats to the winners. I know all too well how difficult it can be to select winners from such varied entries!

Oh man.... did not expect this one. I thought Cory’s tulip would be the winner. :-P

I had a few opportunities to shoot some behind shots this week but my weary Pro 1 would just not stop hunting & focus for me so I had to go into the archives. This photo was taken at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo.
Congrats to Martin & Stiga & thanks for the challenge this week, Teekay. I will have a challenge up later this afternoon.

I'm sure others have noticed that when one chooses a challenge subject, the resulting entries are usually quite different from what one had in mind - as in this case. I was expecting predominantly shots of back alleys, dumpsters behind supermarkets, and rears of cars, cows and cheerleaders etc.;-)a
