How would you define 'fine erotica' and how should it be visualized?

I view it as entirely subjective as well. I view your work (that I've seen) as more 'sensual' but less 'fine erotica'. JMHO

Art is subjective. What is a fine art nude to one person is erotica to another and hard-core porn to a third. I would like to say that we should simply eschew all such categorizations and simply admire each image on its own merits. Unfortunately, that's not how most minds work. I'm not sure I can define "fine erotic" for anyone or anything other than my own work, and that's because I know the intent behind the work. If the objective is simply to make the subject appear attractive and desirable, then I'd call it sensual. If the intent is to mentally arouse sexual desire only, it's probably erotic. If the intent is to arouse sexual desire mentally and physically, I'd have to call it sexual or even pornographic to some degree.

not sure I completely follow ... how can one evoke sexual desire only mentally? ...

interesting thoughts though, here and in previous answers.

Perhaps mentally arouse is not quite the right phrase; "evoke sexual desire" is more correct. However, it's said, I think it relates to the intent.
