Hi Everyone,
Just getting around to re-processing some photos I took over the summer in Banff. When I was there it was kind of strange weather with all the wildfires, very hazy so I took a bunch of bracketed shots to see if I could get a bit more out of them. Both photos taken with a Canon 5d III and 17-40L Comments welcome.

The first one is a shot near Columbia Glacier (the glacier is just to the right of the photo).

The 2nd one was in a pretty dark Canyon with a pretty bright sky. This one feels a bit over-processed but there is something about it I like.

Doesn’t look overly processed to me. Nice job!

Thanks!

5 shots (-2, -1, 0, 1, 2) and processed in Aurora then a bit of touch up in LR and PP.

My daughter and I are planning a trip in mid May. How is the weather up there at this time of year?

I appreciate that natural look of your HDR shots and not going for the most garish filter method available.

Not sure. I was just visiting from the east coast US. I imagine in May there are still parts closed because of the snow but maybe someone from that area will see this and reply.

Thanks. That is always the danger with HDR. What I try to do as a doublecheck is edit the best photo from the group and make sure the HDR just brings out more details and not dramatically change the look (if that makes sense).

Great shots, I could spend a whole summer there, endless landscapes to be had
Glacier NP would be another.
