I have been given an older mint, Tokina 28-70mm f/2.8 ATX Pro lens. This is the second generation Tokina 28-70mm lens that was based on the Angenieux 28-70mm f/2.6 lens.

I really like this older lens on my 6D2 for people shooting. However, when I open the RAW images in Adobe RAW, I cannot find a lens correction profile for this lens. This doesn't surprise me because the lens was only produced for a short while before it was supplanted with the SV version which was less expensive to produce but was also not quite as good as the original version.

How can I get a lens profile for this lens to use with Adobe Camera RAW?

You can supposedly create your own profile, at least on Windows.

You can use Adobe's Lens Profile Creator, but it is a fairly involved process. I created a profile for the Canon 15mm fisheye for my 5DII years ago and it was not really worth the effort.

There is an app called PTLens which provides similar distortion correction and it supports your lens.

The developer will also make profiles for your lens if they do not exist - you shoot the proper images and he will determine the proper distortion model numbers for the profile.
