I loved that movie too.

But I gotta say I couldn't begin to make the connection between this picture and your title when I saw it the other day.

Did you see the aircraft at top left? It's a water bomber, about to dive down to scoop water.
I'd say it was close to an aborted run due the small boat....

It was a fairly obscure reference, it would have been more obvious with below photo included. :-)
