Looks like the recent shipment has already been depleted by backorders. They either have a huge back log of orders to fulfill or they didn't receive many in the recent shipment. I placed an order last week and it still shows back-ordered

B&H had them in stock on 4/30 (body only) so I grabbed one and it arrived on Wed 5/2. They had “expected on May 1st” on the listing for a few days. I was there researching a day early and got lucky.

EDIT: Mine wasn’t a preorder/backorder, so they must have filled them and had at least a few left over.

I just pre-ordered the tamron 28-75... i know i know I'm late oh well.

I'll buy the 7iii when my tamron shows to ship. This will be the wifes new camera :)

I’ll be looking forward to your thoughts on the Tamron. It seems like a nice compromise between size and speed to match the body, and could possibly be my first native lens... while I keep saving for the 70-200 GM .

Will do.

My wife is the one who really needs a general zoom and she doesn't really seem to need any wider than about 28mm and really likes that 50-85mm range. I think this will be a perfect lens for her. Lightweight small and combined with the A73 she will be in heaven. (my prediction)

Maybe I'll even get to borrow it from time to time.

My kit
A7r3
10-18 laowa (will order this)
35A
55 1.8
85A
200L
100-400GM

My wife kit
A73
35 2.8
50 1.8
85 1.8
28-75

We will have plenty to mix it up. Ironically I'll be adapting and she will be native. Except for the 100-400 which will be my new sports/recital lens. I know it's slow but you can't beat getting to 400mm and backing off to 100. It's a sharp lens worthy of my ownership. Just gotta sell the 85G and 70-200G.
