Hello everyone,

I was going through some of my old photos today and felt inspired to put together this post. These are some of my favourite photos of lions, leopards, and cheetahs from my various trips. I hope you enjoy seeing this and I am always open to feedback to help me develop my skills.

Thank you for all the comments. Where are you heading to in May? I will be heading to the Mara for my first time in 2019 on my honeymoon.

Timbavati Private Reserve adjacent to Kruger National Park

Was in the Mara way back when (1979).

I’ve never been to Timbavati but 7/8 of my photos were taken from Sabi Sand - I am a big fan of the South African private reserves. Have a great trip!

Actually I agree. I liked East Africa when I went but actually prefer So. Africa. Went in 2013 to Botswana, Zambia and Zimbawe and had a fabulous time. I'm hoping that being able to go off road in Timnavati will get us some more/better predator sightings. We'll see.

I have received a lot of nice comments about my "hanging" leopard. When I visited Sabi Sand this last time, it was specifically to scratch my itch for some quality leopard sightings as the last time I had been there we had lots of great shots but few leopards. This wasn't the best opportunity of the trip but I love this shot as it really captures a lot of the beauty and landscape, along with a nice leopard for context!

I was in the Timbavati last May/June but wasn't that impressed. A lot of timber & scrub made game viewing difficult. Much preferred Botswana and Kenya.
Where are you heading in the Timbavati?

We'll be at the Kambaku Safari Lodge and then later at Simbavati River Lodge -- so opposite ends of the reserve.
