Default Better Zoom Browser.

I contacted Canon Australia and was sent to a download address and I now have Z/B Version 3.1 instead of my old 2.2. It has a few different options but generally works the same. In my last post, I really wanted to get rid of it because of it's 'crashability', and I have had a play around with Breese Browser, but I still Z/B is an excellent program especially if this version has fixed the crash bug in it. Time will tell !

Any chance of posting the URL for Zoombrowser 3.1?

No problems ...... it is ........

NOTE FROM PEKKA:

I'm sorry but I had to remove this link because these programs are copyright protected and the link is not from any Canon's IP:s.

Of course you can exchange this kind of info freely in personal email, but on this forum I must forbid any "warez" kind of activity. I'm sure you understand.

END OF NOTE

Good luck ...... Mick.

Pekka:

The Canon helpdesk told me that a Zoombrowser cannot be downloaded, but that it's legal te copy a CD.

So I think this should be no problem?

I have a A50 and ZB 1.1, but recently got a new XP machine, which won't run ZB 1.1. How did you get Canon to respond with a URL? I'm hoping to get the latest version and have it update my > 500 image ZB database.

Legally I don't know where we stand, but I simply phoned the Australian Canon Office in Sydney and asked if there was some way to overcome ZBs problems, and was given the URL to get the newer version (3.1) . I haven't had any problems since ..... touch wood .

I don't understand why Canon isn't more helpful with Zoombrowszer problems.
Currently I want to email my photos through a different "server" than Outlook Express,
but I can't find online help with this anywhere. What is the big secret?
I too would like to know the site to download a newer version, if you don't mind another
request. Again though, why doesn't Canon advertise this
At least you have taken the time to help others - thanks............j

I have had lots of requests for this newer version (3.1) and have sent them privately, but the last time I sent it the receiver had problems in that the site would not open. I tried the address I had sent and found the same problem, so I'm sorry , but I guess Canon have closed it down ............ no more upgrades !
