It's been so long since I have posted! Been shooting some horribly lit shows.. I HATE red lights! I think I hate Strobes even more! Got to shoot Korn last weekend. I have to say I liked shooting them better in the past. Bigger area in the barricade so I could step back from the stage.

I like # 3 and 4 (nice microphone stand, Giger?)
They do appear a bit soft though.... |

You lucky b****. I'd love to get to a Korn gig, let alone shoot them! We're you working, or doing it for fun?
You can have fun with strobes - if I get bored with them, I try to see if I could press the shutter at just the right moment... its like russian roulette... ..

Dwight you are funny.. that's his mic stand.. It's really cool looking..
Hey dzstudios - I covered this show for my website. Mudvayne had strobes. Korn actually had decent light. I've shot Korn quite a few times. After the three songs, they took down the curtain behind them and there were additional guitarists and percussion. Those performers wore masks. It would have been cool to shoot them. Back on their tour for their Issues album I was able to shoot the entire set for two of their shows. Can't do anything really with the photos but it was a great experience. |

Tidbit about Korn - they're from Bakersfield (currently mourning the death of country legend, Buck Owens). Last year (or two?), one of the original members left because he felt the kind of music the band played had a great affect on how he was raising his baby. He didn't want his child to grow up like that. I think he's doing a little bit of Christian music back in Bakersfield. Heh, anyone remember Stryper?
