Another race event at FIR - 18 pics

Had some fun and got some sun once again at FIR. There was another event going on at another local track so there weren't as many people as expected. Instead of more than 500 images like last time I only ended up with 250 this time.

I'm thinking about renting a pro lens for the next event. My Sigma 70-300 just isn't enough for me anymore.

I hate Firebird, the roadcourse is garbage. Nice shots though...

I'm not too fond of it either, but a lot of my friends race and it's 2 minutes from my place... PIR is quite far. :P

Hey smooth, I am in the phoenix area also, I would recommend renting a pro lens, it is super easy to do and very rewarding. I don't know if you have rented before but here are a couple of links of places that I have rented from, they are pretty much the two biggest pro shops in the valley. This is info you probably know already but I thought I would lend a hand just in case. Sometimes it's good to reserve it in advance if it is a big event, I don't know how far ahead they will let you reserve it but I have gone out a couple of weeks. They go fast for shows like Barrett Jackson and similiar.

I actually met a guy out there the day I was taking these who told me about Tempe Camera. I swung by there the other day to get a list of everything they had and talk with the guys. Very knowledgable crowd. I am definitely going to rent one next time if I haven't already purchased one by then.

Thank you for the info though. It's good to see the places have happy customers.
