Default abandoned

there's something about this scene that cries out to me every time I drive by. It's just a matter of time before it's gone, between nature and/or housing developements.

I think you need to clean your lens and/or sensor.

Interesting barn tho.

That is an amazing barn. Did you go into it, or is the interior too overgrown?

It's in the middle of a field on someone's property - I'm afraid of being stopped for trespass. It looks as though there are at least two trees that have taken root.

And I never noticed the sensor spots. Gack. Will have to investigate - I've dreaded this since getting the camera two months ago.

You're right, Nancy, it is an interesting barn, as it appears to be growing hair. Good luck cleaning your sensor.

thanks for the link - I'd been there already. I hesitate to use the paddle thing with my shaky hands and vision. And from what The Magic Lantern Guide says, I'm supposed to do all this while looking up into the camera body? I don't think this will work for me.
I have a rocket blower, and tried that last night. I can still see a speck in the viewfinder when I look in, so I don't think it worked. Don't know how this happened, as I have never changed lenses with the camera on, and always have it facing down when doing so. Nor did I change lenses yesterday. But it was very windy, which might have had something to do with it.
I'll trundle over to Annapolis today to visit the folks at Ritz Camera to see how helpful they can be. This is one of the reasons I bought the camera from them - we'll see how they follow through on sales.

Dust on the sensor will only show up at high f stops ie: from f20 or so up.
If wanting to check sensor up the f stop to say f22 compose the exposure close up, point cam at blue sky and shoot. Dirt on the sensor will show up then.

What a lovely building, Nancy.
I felt the same way about sensor cleaning, but its not that bad after the first couple of goes. I found a new product that worked better for me than the Copperhill method. A UK link is:
http://www.robertwhite.co.uk/digitalclean.htm

I don't know if its available where you are.
