Default Grays v Exeter - As Seen on TV....

Yep, the Sky cameras were down at the rec tonight to cover the grays game as well as a few togs, myself and gmen included... a great result for grays, 3 goals and 3 points in the bag, this takes them to 4th and in a great position to make the playoffs... here are some piccies but as usual you can view all of them (96!!!) in my flickr pages, the link is in my sig... im hoping to get along to the next home game on saturday... pretty much all the other local teams are away so even if the paper dont need the pics i think ill try and get along for the practice...

Great stuff Spencer! Good to see you last night... sorry we didn't get time to chat for long but it was a busy night all round. Interesting to see that 'Matey Boy' had sprouted a 400mm f/2.8L since I last saw him!

A very good game I thought. Grays had to defend in depth at times, particularly early in the second-half... Thurgood's goal-line clearance followed swiftly by Oli's breakaway goal for 2-0 were the turning points for me (looking at the EXIF less than 60 seconds separated the two).

It would be a big surprise now if Grays don't make the play-offs so could be a very interesting few weeks in May.

I'm still resisting starting too many new threads ... so my small gallery from the match is here:

www.tgsphoto.co.uk/grays_exeter2

It was a great game for action shots... but I've stuck to the news-worthy pics in the gallery with a couple of exceptions.

Probably won't see you on Saturday as I'm likely to have the joys of the Gordon Brasted Memorial Trophy Final... one of those days when AFC Hornchurch takes precedence over Grays!. Easter weekend will be a bit of a blur I reckon as there's already plenty on the agenda.

Yep, Poole had a great game, as did McLean... good performance all round. Nice that they could do it for the cameras (sky's not ours!) at last as well...

Have fun, I was just looking around and the rocks and fleet are away and i cant see tilbury playing on saturday so even if neil doesnt need the pics i think ill pop along to grays, just for the fun and experience... great pics btw, nice to see you got pooles turn and celebration, i buggered it up, its out of focus, uploaded it anyway, might be good enough at the resolution and size the gazette use... to be honest i doubt theyll use any... i think they have the grays games sown up but it was a night out, all good experience.

Cheers Spencer... I think I was more pleased to get Oli's goal even if it was a bit of a pull-up... totally missed Johnny Martin's 3rd as the ref's backside intervened

Tilbury have two (vital) games left but it looks like promotion is in their own hands now... a win at home vs Hornchurch (22/04) or away at Romford (29/04) will do the biz for them.

Will you be at Arena on Friday night? Should be a good crowd in for the second leg of the Ipswich double-header.

...and don't forget Thurrock are at home on Monday vs relegation-doomed Maidenhead.

Ahh... yep... Rocks and Fisher will probably be a far better bet than Thurrock... nearly forgot about that one!

Talking of Fisher - are you going to Grays tomorrow night for the Ryman League Cup FInal?

Peachy. Reckon Billericay vs Fisher could be a close-run thing so be prepared for extra-time and pens tomorrow... could be a long night!

It's likely to be a bit of a needle match as Fisher's manager (Justin Edinburgh) was of course previously Billericay's manager... I'd think that 'Ricay will bring a few fans with 'em as well as they haven't been in a Cup Final for at least ten years by my reckoning.
