This mirrors my first dozen or so attempts. The sky came out great. I wonder if a little bit of the old levels treatment (See the Scottes tutorial in the Raw and Post Processing sticky) and a bit of high pass sharpening. How many stops apart were the brackets? I don't get too scientific with the exposures - I like to check the histo and see what settings each of the parts of the scene properly exposed. Once I have the range, I use the auto bracket feature, and then use the EC feature to shift the exposure of all three shots. I like the auto bracket since it helps keep all the images in perfect registration. One last thing, there is another, less complicated technique for combining images to capture greater DR by blending two captures using a luminosity mask. Here is a great tutorial for that: http://www.thelightsright.com/tutorials-video.htm. You'll find a ton of good info on the TLR site as well.

Do a search for it using the forum search. Most posters put "HDR" in the title, so it'll come up pretty easy. The short story is that it is a tool that expands the normal dynalic range of a digital exposure by using two or more bracketed exposures. Here is an excellent video on the simpler, yet just effective, technique of blending exposures: http://www.thelightsrightstudio.com/...dExposures.mov.
