Default Just an attempt

I don't normally do much still life photography, but thought that I needed to try something new. I am just looking for opinions on this one. What works? What doesn't? I miss titled the file as a hasp but it is a door hinge instead . I was going for a textured type look.

Feel free to comment on the B/W conversion also. I am trying to improve my technique with that as well.

Thanks

Hinge
