Default London Marathon

Just some shots I took with my new Sigma 120-300 near wapping at mile 13

Quite bad weather but the 2.8 helped a lot to keep the shutter speed up and I only went upto iso 200 to minmise noise. First attempt at any kind of atheletics and I am quite pleased with them.

Fantastic shots, the last one is my favourite, but the facial expression of the first two are really special. I must have been standing just a few yards from you, on the other side of the road, infact I may have seen you.

The wheelchairs were way too fast for me... and my manual focus lenses!

Thanks, I was at mile 13 on the outbound side with them running towards the Isle of dogs.

I took a few shots across the road were you anywhere near a lot of purple balloons? You couldn't miss me I had a light coloured cap on back to front a red coat on and a dustbin on the front of my 20D lol.

I was at the start at Blackheath but all my pics came out really bad! Couldn't get a good view point because it was so busy. I wont be going there again! Went into London centre afterwards and wish I had my camera because I saw loads of runners with there families and some of them looked knackered (obviously!). Thought they would have made some good afterwards pics.

#3 is a super shot, but like has been said, the look on the participants in the first two are just magic. Looks like you got a good spot

I'm probably in the third shot... as the buildings in the background were to my right. I stood opposite a bus stop, just before the drink distributers.

Love shot 1 & 2 because you captured the emotions quite well! How do you like your Sig 120-300mm? I hope to someday acquire one...
