Default Girls' high school lacrosse playoffs ...

Georgia has started the State High School Lacrosse Tournament and these teams - Lassiter and Lovett - started things off. Lovett is a perennial lacrosse power in Georgia, both in the boys' game and the girls' game. Lovett came away with the win in this one, 13-8, and will advance to a quarterfinal game on Friday.

All shot with a Canon Mark II and 400 2.8.

Thanks for looking - as always, comments and such are welcomed ...

Don't tell me there's no contact in the girls' game .....

Great shooting! Beautiful color.

I think I'm getting lens envy. Must look away now.

I'm thankful for 3 things in regards to this thread:

1) I'm thankful for all the comments - I appreciate people taking the time to look and to provide some feedback;

2) I'm glad that okiebass101 finally got to see the shots;

and

3) I'm really glad that David cleared up the "guns" reference ..... Thanks, David (I could see this thread heading into the toilet very quickly!) .....

Nice job.... I am still mad my Lacrosse season got cut short. Next year I'll have to shoot more of the ladies game. You have a couple of that same girl, is she a relation to you or just a key player?

Hi Mark ....

Yea ... sorry to continue to hear about your lacrosse season (and what's the latest on that situation, anyway?) ..... hope next year is a better lacrosse season for everyone concerned up there ....

The girl that you're talking about (#1) is not a relation but she is and has been a very key player for Lassiter. She's a senior captain this year and a 4-year varsity starter. And because of the outcome (a loss!) that was her last game to be played for Lassiter ....

And the shot of the "other" girl (#7) represents an "up and coming" lacrosse player for Lassiter who is already making an impact - next year she'll be one of the "franchise" players for Lassiter.....

Cecil.... it is totally messed up. The entire team has been released to pursue other opportunities if they like. Now there is talk that the witness will not testify. It is just a wait and see. I would much rather be filming sports then protest. Oh well.... thanks for asking.
