It was a beautiful day for football, even though I spent most of the game messing with my camera. LOL
I think it would be redundant to say that I am a complete novice, but I'll state it anyway. This was as close as I could get to the action... poor seats combined with an inferior lens (for the situation)... well, you just do the best you can. ![]() Look at those lenses! ![]() A true fan: ![]() Another touchdown!!!!!!! ![]() After examining the 200 some pictures that I took, I realize (more than ever) that I have a long way to go with this camera. But that's ok, I'm having fun! |

Shooting pics takes time and lots of pratice but with the 10D u can see where you need to tune right away. What type of lens are you using.
By the way one of my instructors told me when you load a camera expect one great shot and maybe 3 -4 that will be ok over time the numbers increases. Have fun who said we're pros

That looks like a lot of fun!
Did you have any trouble getting your camera in to the stadium?

As a matter of fact Patrick, I did. They wouldn't let me take my bag, so I had to leave that in the car and just carry the camera around my neck. Then when we came through the security check point, the young guy was frantically looking through his book... as if he knew he should be doing something but couldn't figure out what. So we hurried through and he never got to us!!

The no-bag rule makes sense!
As a Chelsea football supporter, I have been to a few English Premier League games (soccer, in North America) in the last three years. I have always managed to get my point-and-shoot digital cameras past security, but I fear this fall will be different with the 10D and a lens. Cameras are not allowed. When I am in the US for NFL or NHL games, we always call first and ask what the policy is. Most of the time, the team offices say that it is ok, but the guys at the security check usually haven't received that memo ... I am trying to get a group of guys from Finland to go to the Oiler vs Habs (NHL) game that will be played OUTDOORS in November. E-mail that I have sent to the Oilers have gone unanswered. We shall see.

I've got some shots of Heinz Field from "behind the scenes" - will have to get some on a game day someday if I ever get back there.
