Worldwide POTN Meet! Let's do it!!

This is the one I've been waiting for. A huge, one time (hopefully not), mega-meet. I'm talking party. Just huge. We need to start taking donations to get this thing going. I tihnk obviously NYC would be the place to have it (center of everything, and all). With all of the friends on here, and friends that everyone has made, it's time for a "family" union. I wanna hear everyone's input on this. I know it's a stretch, but this should just happen.

Well, if I know Pio, he'll be there. He lives there. I live about 4 1/2 hours from Manhattan and I have family in Brooklyn, so I can come if the date works out. As far as accommodations, there are some inexpensive places to get rooms. Just let me know and I'll see what I can come up with.

Oh, y'all just give me a lot of notice.. both of my sisters and one of my stepmother's are in Virginia and, I learned the last time I was out there Virginia is not that far from New York (tiny states).. plus, i've been wanting to go back to New York City.. and with POTN it would be a fantastic justification to go across the country... I think some of the folks from across the pond should come too.. (I know Dave's a world traveler

.. okay, so it's not Africa. but think about it.. )...

Now, all I got to do is delicately bring up to family that I wanna go to the East Coast to meet online photography friends... wish me luck...

Seriously it could be fun but something like this would need a LOOONG planning period.

I do want to see New York someday so, but then again I also want to go back to San Diego which could also be a great spot to meet.

Maybe I should plan on picking up all the MD people on my way up from VA.

Actually, if I had a nice place there in NY, I'd say everyone can stay at my place, but since I'm here in VA, we could talk DC., but B&H isn't here.

I suspect a world POTN world meet up is a good idea, but organised on a continent basis during the same time period, with people feeling free to travel to different continents if they want to.

Thanks for the thought Sari, but I've been to enough places to know NY is only 'centre of everything' if one lives in Waverley

but if you're ever in the UK then it would be nice to say hi.
