Talking The mystery of non stop emails

Is anyone else experiencing the continued notification of PMs and replies? I have been getting repeat notifications since yesterday. Every time Outlook checks for mail they come up again. I've deleted them from my server, viewed them several times and even changed the status to no emails, without success. So far, I've received 18 repeats of 2 PMs' and 3 threads.

HELP!!!

I've not had any problems... Been getting my notifications just like normal.

Are you sure that they are no longer on your email server that outlook talks to? Is there a way you can view your account mailbox through a web page to see if they are still being held on the server and not just downloaded by outlook again everytime?

Are these recent PM's and threads or older?

Thanks Pekka, but I've tried that. I've set options to no email notification of private messages and also set the individual threads to no email notification.
As I write, they've just come through again.

Is it only POTN emails that You keep receiving? Have You tried sending an email from a different account to see if that will loop too?

No, I've been on to my server and deleted them from there, so its not that. These go back to the 13th and 15th May.
Strange, and at the moment, amusing. But ...

Thanks for the suggestion, Tommy. Yes I've tried that, too
I have just forced an email retrieval and this time they didn't appear, so fingers crossed.

my only prob is im set to automatically rec. postings for all the threads i see... which means i get allot of e mails from here..lol but i kinda like it, i feel "wanted" ... i know i could go delete them from my subscriptions but im too lazy, or i can change the status so i have to ask to be notified of new posts.. but i always forget to and then i forget about what ever thread topic i wanted to keep an eye on.. Im very complex in my lazyness arent I?
