Good shots!
We have whippets and have lure coursed them in Canada. I think the dog in the second pic is actually a pharoah hound, taller and less refined than a whippet. The black dog in pic 9 might be a whippet but looks more like a greyhound actually.

It really is amazing to watch these hounds chase down white plastic bags. They put all their effort into the chase!

Yuzek. These are wonderful !

When I take photos like these or even just ONE I will be so pleased and feel like I have really learnt something.

We have lure coursing here in the UK and not too far from where I live and I keep promising that I will take my camera. Any tips for setting the camera?

hey
thanks for comment,
I take this pictures with aperture priority and AF-C with 55-200 lens. It was sunny day, perfect for that kind pictures.

Hey jozek,

I really liked your photos. I take lots of photos of Jack Russel Terrier races. Going again this weekend to big trial. Apparently you know what you are doing. COuld you share with me some of the settings?

1. Do you use AV or TV mode? or maybe Manual?

2. What aperture? Shutter speed?

3. Do you use One Shot and pre focus on the certain point in the grass awaiting dogs? Or do you use AI Servo?

4. Do you use burst mode?

5. what metering mode do you use?

6. What focusing points?

I would really appreciate your help,

m

I use aperture priority and the shutter speed 1/800, 1/1000 and more,
I wait for the dogs and I move the lens follow dog/dogs with take serial shoth during that time.
I use matrix metering mode and I focus on the dogs of course with AF-C.
I dont know what is burst mode?

If you speak in polish send me PM
