Have you tried opening both images and dragging the smaller onto the larger? I image it would be better to add a small border around the smaller image first.

It would just need to be copied onto the layer above with 100% opacity.

Man, I've got chubby fingers. The camera does add 10 pounds.

Huh? That's not right. How are you opening them? Try opening one, and then open another.

can you tell me how you save the first layer (background layer)of the first image so i can add the second image into the first image layers?

as soon as i open the second image that becomes the background layer and the first image dissapears,

whope you can get the drift of what i'm trying to explain badly.

cheers

Here is a screenshot of my CS2 with 2 photos open. CS and CS2 are the same in this respect.

To do what You want You resize of crop the photo You want a small copy of in the other. When resized or cropped You select all and copy. Then activate the othe rimage and paster. Then You have 2 layers. Make sure the one with the small image is active then You can drag the image to where You want it.

Look to the right on my screenshots. In the bottom You have the layer list. You can switch between the layers there.

If the small insert is where You want it You can also flatten the image. From the layers meny choose flatten image. But beware after that You cannot move the small image any more.

If you can't unlock it, just copy the layer then delete the locked layer. Then you can move it around at will.
