Windows XP thumbnail view?

Does anyone out there know if Windows XP (pro) can display 16-bit TIFF thumbnails on directory window (thumbnail view)?

Send me one and I can try it out. My little 8-bit TIFFs from the G1 are showing fine, as are all thumbs (except the actual .THM files, even though I told XP to view them as jpgs)
