Default Cat Pictures

Post pictures of your cat!
Well it doesn't have to be your cat but hey, it's a plus if it is.

Here's mine, his name's Smokey Joe
shot on a 20d with a 50 f/1.8 II

thank you, she is quite the character. I believe this one was taken with the 85L and some flash.

yes cats can have pretty funny personalities
makes life a heck of a lot less boring to have a cat around
thats one heck of a lens
so speedlite works well if the cat's eyes are open too?

the flash will work for a few shots, then my cat gets pissed and runs away from the camera

no i mean do you get green/yellow eye, or is this only with the onboard flash since it's not that far away from the camera?

Also, is it all auto? With the pop-up, in Program auto, I always get a speed of 1/60 no matter the aperture or lighting, no matter how low.

In Av/Tv priority I always get the same aperture or shutter speed as if I wasn't using the flash at all.

I bounce the flash or use a bounce with the catchlight out with the 580EX. If you do this, no funky eye colors. If you use the pop up flash from the camera, all sorts of weird eye colors will happen. And as far as flash settings go, I shoot in Manual. Usually 1/60th a second on up to 1/125th depending on the movement of my subject and adjust apeture according to your needs. After that, adjust ISO to get the right exposure. Its all about test and re-shoot till you get it right

This is my first post here and I'm fairly new to all of this, so go easy on me.

Probably not the best photo of her (and the shoes in the background really bother me ), I just like the expression on her face. Taken with the S2IS.
