CPL is Circular Polariser.
The problem with the last suggestion is that you are adding extra hardware to the front of the lens which will not resolve your problem.

Look for a thin Hoya S-HMC or B+W MRC Cirular Polarizer in 77 mm. And when it goes on, the UV comes off.

That's what I get for buying one of the first ones, all I got was a lousy T-shirt and an 8x10 piece of paper saying who to call if I have a problem - now that was handy a couple of times, would have been more handy if they knew the answers to the other questions.

As to the switch, doesn't sound correct to me, so maybe it needs a little servicing.

And don't forget to get the handgrip if you haven't already, makes it a lot easier to carry.

Dante - do you know anywhere where I can get knock off membership cards and blazers? I can't afford to join the club, but you guys don't like mixing with the hoi polloi!
