Default A LARGE FAMILY

Hi everyone

Not my usual close-ups , i was shooting landscape and this rather large family (mother and 10 offsprings) just crossed my path.
I thought they lookes lovely and cute at the time and desided to get a picture of them as they were going away.

Hi,
you did well to get them all in the frame, as they are swimming in all directions,
Beautiful shot with amazing colors. I like the way the ducks break the foreground.
All the Best,
Clare

She's got her hands (beak) full! It's got to be nerve-wrecking to have all your kids swom off in differnet directions!

It's an awesome shot, DImitri! Landscape and wildlife in one pic, who could ask for more? The reflection of the sky and the trees in the water is absolutely breathtaking. Beautiful colors

Exceptional colours in this shot Dimitri I love the expanse of this landscaped shot and to finish it off perfectly is the Mother duck and her young.

Clare, out of around 10 shots, this is the only one i managed to capture the whole family, the wee devils were all over the place.

,i`ve got them in another shot (not a good one) under the shade of a tree, where its me and another couple just standing there watching them.
The mother was all over the place trying to keep them under control,so yes you are right there,it must be nerve-wrecking for her.

Awww... that's cute!
Those little guys remind me of my brood - not once can they all stay with me... continually heading off in different directions!!
Great capture Dimitri

Beautiful shot Dimitri, where is it? Which lens did you use? I agree with all above comments.

Keith / Donna / Ted / Dennis / Paul / Alan

Thank you all guys for the lovely complements.
Thats a wee lochan (small lake) at the end of Glencoe area in Scotland.
The lens used was the Tamron 17-35 , i was shooting landscape at the time and when i saw them coming i just lifted the whole thing (tripod included) and fired some shots without even changing any cammera settings.
