White background overexposed by a couple of stops.

Might be a bit small if you're shooting a person.

troyer this is the way i do it...

I bought a 60cm photo cube ($60 from ebay) i bought 4 desk lamps with 100W globes, i set one on top of the cube, one behind the cube and 2 either side of the cube. I over expose the image slightly to get that floating background, and i have 3 backdrop colours, blue, white and black - i use different settings for each colour though because with black or blue no over exposing needs to be done!

Use your tripod for sure...and possible a cable release or timer??

Bobs ya uncle...floating white background!
