Default Hampden Park Bird Life

I'm normally found in the motorsports forum but for a change I went to a local park with the 20D in hand to photograph some of the birds. I had to cut the trip short and will be returning but here's three shots that I was quite pleased with. These are all shot using the Sigma 100-300 F4.

An ID for No. 3 would be appreciated!

Cheers,
Steve

Hi;
#3 is a juvenile Moorhen... (I think...)
All 3 are great captures. The Mallard is superb!

Thanks for commenting Lee and Sindri.

Thanks for the ID Lee. It's been suggested elsewhere that it's a Juvenile Moorhen so I think we'll go with that as the ID.

Cheers,
Steve

That's a good photo of the Jackdaw Steve, they have nice light blue eyes.
Good detail in this shot.
Nice shot of mallard, upside down that is.
And a nicely framed young Moorhen. Well done and come back with some more Bird photos when you can.
