Firmware Update (Canon G-1, G-2 and Pro90)

A firmware update for the Canon G-1, G-2 and Pro90 is available at

http://www.canon.co.jp/Imaging/BeBit-e.html

This fixes a problem with batteries that have dicharged completely. There have been some problems with the in- camera charger being able to bring a flat battery back to life. This update is supposed to correct that situation.

The update also includes all previous firmware fixes.

Barry - did you use your computer to do the upgrade or a card reader? - I've tried the computer method without success. Are you using Windows XP by any chance?

I too am trying to update from my computer running WinXP without luck. Please help!

I updated my XP system with the proper WIA driver, and the update works now. Hope this helps others later.

I used the computer to do the upgrade and, yes, I'm using Windows XP Pro.
