Default Daisy Daisy...any help to improve more than welcome

I am new to this, been taking shots as a hobby now since march so any help, advice much appreciated. I have had my new cam since May. Its a Canon S2 IS Power shot and I love it.....eyes

Nice and sharp and well exposed, but it's a bit sterile. A bit of fuzzy background to throw it forward or a bee in the flower would really set it off.
