Default Fireworks

Here are a couple of shots from last nights fireworks. I have about 85 to go through, these were the first few that caught my eye.

Beautiful!!!!

Share some exif and/or tips? I am going to try this and I am so confused by what I am reading as it seems every single person uses different settings. On the other hand, I guess that means I might be more likely to catch them

Thanks Glad you like them Here is the info on these ones. I used any where from 1 sec to 30 sec exposures. The F stop varied from around 4 to 32. I guess the thing is just play around with it, and see what you get. Thats what makes it so fun.

1st Photo - Exp 3.2s / F13 / ISO100
2nd Photo - Exp 6s / F16 / ISO 100
3rd Photo - Exp 6s / F22 / ISO 100
4th Photo - Exp 6s / F22 / ISO 100

First is my favorite. Be prepared, you are going to get a lot of questions here with everyone trying to shoot fireworks tomorrow!

I was only about a few hundred yards from where they were shooting them from. (they were on top of a parking garage) I was using my 70-300 and never took it of of 70mm it was actually too long. I should have brought a more wide angle lens. But I have to say I'm very happy with the results.

I like your style! Now I can't wait to shoot ours tomorrow evening. I'm taking two DSLR's and two tripods, so it should be interesting.
