Default aspiring photographer

This picture is of my Mom and it was taken by my 14 yr old nephew at the softball field. He used my Mom's 4 mp point & shoot...he was playing with her camera instead of watching his sister play ball...LOL! Critique and comments appreciated!

He's on the right track, filling the frame.

I taught a Girl Scout troop photography skills for their photography badge and one of the best things they taught me was to let them shoot whatever they thought was interesting to them. All I did was guide them with simple rules to make their shots a bit better. The only drawback was, they wanted to print out every picture they took. To compromise, they had to choose only three. The girls critiqued each other's. They learned about perspective, each other's view.

Give a child a camera and they'll see the world a whole new way.
