Hello everyone...I was wondering if it's possible to buy the plastic cover that surrounds the LCD screen on my 350d...I have a flip up hood protector at the moment but it sometimes gets in the way but I dont want to scratch the plastic underneath unless I know its possible to replace and if it is how easy is it to fit?...is it glued in?....thanks in advance for any help!.......dave

They're pretty simple to replace - pop off, and cost maybe $20 from Canon. The plastic's pretty durable so you won't need to replace it unless your favourite cleaning material is 120-grit sandpaper.

The plastic is extremely durable. I just inspected mine and after about a year of heavy use in pools, at beaches and carried almost everwhere... there are no scratches or marks at all.
I'd say just enjoy your camera. Like Jon said, if it does get scratched, it's cheap and easy to replace.

My cameras travel alot and get alot of heavy use in some rather uncomfortable environments. My LCD's are in excellent shape. I have always found these covers to be somewhat of a gimmick. If they make you feel more comfortable, by all means get one but I don't feel that they are necessary.

How do you remove the original plastic cover on the 350D? I have some dust I want to remove off the screen and as of today an ant under it as well!
