Question ACR Auto Settings Question

Hi,

I was wondering if there is a way to make ACR not default to having all of the auto settings checked in the first "adjust" tab?- ie exposure, shadows etc. I have been advised to uncheck these and make my own adjustments, but I want a way to save the time it takes to manually uncheck them. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks

I think Control-U will do it

Best wishes

If you don't want auto adjusting on any raw image you can 'Save New Camera Raw Defaults' after you Ctrl+U too.

Set WB to Auto or As Shot
Exposure to 0
Shadows to 0
Brightness to 50
Contrast to 25
Saturation to 0
Then Save New Camera Raw Defaults from the flyout menu.

You may want to go to the other tabs and set some other common default settings. I chose a medium contrast curve and sharpening (preview only) set to 35 as my defaults as well.

EDIT: Fixed default Brightness to read "50" instead of "0".

I would have Brightness at 50 by default - but apart from that, I'd say jfrancho is on the mark.

Agreed. That's what I have my defaults at.

Yes, 50 is default. Sorry about that. I'll fix the list. Thanks
