Gitzo G1588 Monopod Review

Just got my Gitzo G1588 carbon fiber monopod for my 1Ds Mark II.

It's big around so if you have big hands it's great.

It's light weight. That surprised me!

Got a Manfrotto head for it...Really nice for moving the camera when mounted.

You could use it as a walking stick too!

It is indeed a very nice 'pod for long glass. What lens(es) are you supporting with it?

OH, THAT'S what that little foot is for on the bottom of my 70-200!

The 70-200 is my largest lens so far. I may not go any bigger as I don't shoot that much and I'm not a pro. The 1Ds Mark II is so heavy I thought the monopod would be good for getting a more stable shot.
