Default b & w bamboo

this is a picture of a bamboo tree I took at Morikami Museum with my sigma24-135 f2.8-4.5. what do you guys think? comments appreciated.

I like it as black and white. Green wouldn't add anything to the picture. In my opinion, the picture is about two things: first, the many repeats of the leaves and branchs (duh) -- and second, the light flowing in/around those leaves/branches.

The first can be improved with better contrast and the second (the impression of soft luminosity) can be improved with various Photoshop tricks. (I don't know if you have Photoshop or Elements, so I won't try to explain.)

who regularly can experience that perspective, I like the composition you've used. I agree that it could use a little more contrast, but unless you're going for a minimalist Japanese painting feel, I like the 'busy' nature of the photo. Bamboo forests are like this.
