Welcome. I've also been photographing with Nikon and jumped onto Canon recently.

Here's some info from Sports Illustrated on the 1Ds Mark II for custom settings:

Welcome to the right side of the fence

Sorry, can't help with your question but there will be lots soon

This will be asked at some point so I'd better get it out of the way....
What made you jump ship?

PS. try the search function and use the advanced mode. At the bottom select "Boolean" then try something like "1Ds MrkII custom settings"

Welcome and enjoy...

This is for the 1DMKII and not the 1Ds. Depends on what you are typically shooting to how you will adjust your settings.

I just picked up the 1DsMKII last week so am just working through my settings, custom functions and personal functions. When I got my 1DMKII it took a few weeks before I was totally happy with them.

Look at the link on the right side of the page. It's for the 1D or 1Ds Mark IIaccording to the website unless they copied and pasted the same name twice then mistakenly put an "s" after the D in 1D Mark II (which wouldn't make much sense).

It seems to be general settings for both cameras. The same applies for the 1D and 1Ds which falls in the same page as well.
