I was just speaking with a fellow at a local camera shop. He told me that the Speedlite 420EX is compatable with an S45. Meaning that it would automatically configure the proper flash levels and other camera setting as done with the EOS line. I think pros would refer to it a e-TTL? Is this true? Or does it simple trigger a manually configured flash in a slave mode.
If the 420EX can work automatically with an S45 has anyone had experiance with this. Does the external flash and digital camera create better pictures? The other flash I was considering is the Vivitar DF200. I know this set-up is just a manually configured flash with a slave trigger. But for $70 it seems like a good deal. Has anyone tried the DF200? |
