Ladies Soccer 70-200 2x EX

Hi Everyone,

I am thinking about gettng a 100-400 F4.5, so to try to emulate this I used my 70-200 f2.8 with a 2X extender. Let me know what you think. These images are cropped, but not too much i.e. what I would normally crop to ensure getting an image.

This one is at f5.6 so about the start of the 100-400 DOF.

I'll be out there again this weekend, and this time, I'll move to the end of the pitch so I get more shots of faces and less shots of backs

You did a good job on both of these, the first one at 1/320 has a little motion blur but not bad, if you had gone a little quicker on the shutter and pushed the ISO to compensate it may have helped. looks like that is what you did on the second one with good results. Depending on your needs, have you thought about the 300 f4? I use it a bunch for soccer with good results, about the same price as the 100-400 but from everything I have seen and tried a much better lens. Just a thougt.
