Default Give me some homework!

Lately I've been kind of unmotivated about going out and playing with the camera. Maybe if someone gave me an idea of something for me to find, it would give me that little push i need to get out and have some fun. Any suggestions on what i should shoot this weekend?

Insects. Try your hand at some Marco insect shots. Just a thought.

beat me to it... that thread has been going on for the last few months.. you have a three day limit in which to shoot your photos.. the themes are usually a pretty loose theme open to lots of interpretation and your not graded on what you shoot.. it's more of an exercise to get out and shoot and a good way to open up your eyes to compositions and new ideas to shoot.. I think a good portion of us get shots that we wouldn't have without the themes..

it also stems from one of my original ideas and I love the way it's been going...

Are you wanting to do panning or static? You can get some practice in with your kit lens static wise. If you are planning on panning your sigma 70-300 will work nicely as well. You also can get some nice static shots with it. I know you just went HUH? The affect/effect (which ever is correct) that a long lens has on 3/4 shots is real nice. Try it some time. What wid lens are you saving for?
