Ok, maybe I made a mistake !
I Thought that Canon accessories made for the G1 were better that third parties accessories. I bought the Canon adaptor, Canon WA and a "cheap" uv filter. Than, I started to read forums and learned that I may have been wrong with my Canon accessory rule. I do not wish invest any further if I am right, ( that I was wrong). I would appreciate confirmations of the following statements; 1- Not only the internal flash but auto focus is affected when using the Canon adapter. This means that I can not leaved the Canon adapter always attached to protect the lens with a uv filter. 2- If I would use the Lensmate adapter, flash may also be a, (lesser), problem but auto focus would not be a affected. 3- To salvage my present investment I should buy the lensmate, a step up ring 49mm to 58mm for the Canon WA, and switch to 49mm accessories whenever possible. Thanks for your responses Guy |
