So, I just bought a Pro 1 off eBay and am thrilled with it... except-
Accessories seem hard to come by (I've been searching these forums, and the powershotpro1 site as well) compared to the excellent ones that were available for my G3. Because of the rather skinny, long lens, any add-on barrel extender to add filters becomes a rediculously long tube- too long for any usable angle save 200mm. Anyone have any cool accessories or workarounds? I can always find the 58mm adapter for the end of the zoom portion (didn't come with my kit) but it just seems... lame? I attached a picture of my 58mm adapter with a 58mm lens hood.works ok for protection, but too short to attach any filter if I don't want the zoom to crush through. Also some vignetting at wide angle (ARG!). Looks sweet though and is in the direction I want to go. (I added the pro 1 hood as a little goof- ha) note: looking more to add a 58mm filter rather than an additional little lens. cheers Last edited by skipgainer : 29th of August 2006 (Tue) at 23:17. |
