Default compact flash speed question !!

Hi All,
just wondering is there any noticable "speed" difference (advantages or dis-advantages) to buying a 2 gig compact flash card vs. a 4 gig one

Reason for asking is that I am going to order the 4 gig Ridata Pro 150x CF from newegg

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820183020

and on Rob Galbraith's website that has the Compact flash database he only shows a 2 gig Ridata Pro card 150x that performs very very well not the 4 gig one...and i was wondering if there is a noticable speed difference

From what I have read they are average quality cards. In my own view I would save up and go SanDisk

But of course I dont have a Ridata card to comment on, but I have cards by Fuji, Toshiba, Lexar and SanDisk

I can't say about the difference between 2 gb and 4 gb CF cards.
But my feeling is my 4 Gb 150x Ridata CF card a bit slower for writing and a bit faster for reading compared to my 1 Gb Sandisk Ultra II CF card.

Take a look here at Rob Galbraith's CF database.

I don't think that you will notice any difference in the G6.
Both cards are much faster than the camera.

Best regards,
Andy

The only advantage you'll have with SanDisk Ultra II or Extreme III is their dependability... If that is important to you, you might still want a SanDisk instead of a generic CF card. Also steer away from Lexar, they don't handle complaints well.

The Rob Galbraith CF database generally shows cameras being a very little faster with 1 or 2 GB cards than with 4 GB cards. I seriously doubt you'll notice the difference though.
